Twenty Four original 11x14 painting on board by John Beard Collection showing coastal landscape in muted tones

Quiet hours, shared

Two friends settle into a worn bench beneath a sun-warmed wall, the street humming just beyond the frame. Brushwork stays loose and human; laughter seems to hang in the air.

From the workshop

Twenty Four

A moment, not a pose

Rooms can slip into decoration without memory. Twenty Four interrupts that—an image of companionship held in warm umbers and slate grays, built with visible, confident strokes. It asks for a slower glance and gives one back, returning the room to lived time.

What it does in a room

The painting gathers people near it. You look at the two figures and think of a friend you text first, the bench you return to, the stories that don’t need explaining. Art like this doesn’t shout; it steadies the space and lets conversation begin.

For the collector who lingers

Someone who chooses work with warmth and presence, and wants a daily reminder of easy companionship on the wall.

Place and presence

Hang it where light moves during the day—over a reading chair or along the entry—so the shifting tones invite a pause coming and going.

About John Beard Collection

The Maker's Legacy

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
