A moment held in sunlit shadow

Sixty captures a courtyard afternoon—cool stone underfoot, bougainvillea climbing the arch, quiet talk folding beneath white umbrellas.

At the threshold

Through the arch, life continues

One painter’s afternoon

Walls can feel mute—rooms assembled, yet missing the hum of a lived place. Sixty answers with a scene that breathes: light slipping across tiled ground, strangers pausing in shared shade. It invites the tempo of a slow market morning into the spaces where people meet and linger.

Light you can almost step into

Art changes how a room listens. Sixty anchors conversation without insisting, trading spectacle for presence. Its plein air immediacy carries the touch of the artist’s hand—the small hesitations and bravura strokes that make memory visible. You don’t just look at it; you return to it.

For the collector who lives with their art

Someone who wants a singular plein air painting that sets a calm, human scale in dining rooms, entryways, or studios.

Bring it home

Hang Sixty where natural light shifts during the day so its courtyard scene gently changes with your own routine.

Artist focus

John Beard’s coastal vision

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
