Collected in quiet light

Forty Two captures a sun-warmed house behind a golden fence, lilac blooms pressing forward, shadows slipping across late afternoon.

A porch-hour memory

Where the day settles in

A moment held in paint

Walls can feel anonymous—rooms drift without an anchor for conversation or pause. Forty Two offers a lived-in scene: brick glow, lavender shrubs, a fence catching the last light. It invites slower glances and a reason to linger between tasks.

What you feel

Art that’s been worked in an artist’s own workshop carries the trace of decisions, revisions, and breath. Forty Two brings that human time into the spaces where we meet, cook, and think, grounding the room with a familiar, sun-struck street. It turns a blank stretch of wall into a place to return to.

For those who keep rooms human

Someone building a layered home who wants original plein air character over mass prints.

Place it here

Hang Forty Two near a dining nook or entry, where natural light can play across its warm facade and lilac tones.

Artist Background

John Beard Collection

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
