Details

Use Current Set as the visual punctuation in a room: the piece that breaks up flat shelves, plain tables, expected corners, and safe-looking styling. Most rooms do not need more filler. They need one detail with enough shape, color, or attitude to make the surface feel styled on purpose. Current Set gives shelves, consoles, and tabletops that stronger finishing note.

  • Available in sizes 20x24, 24x30, 30x40, 36x48, and 40x60
  • Intended as a decor accent
  • Works well on shelves and consoles
  • Functions as entry styling

Small decor has to earn its space. The color, silhouette, and surface detail on Current Set can pull together wood, resin, linen, glass, and neutral rooms so the final layer feels collected instead of generic.

A quiet jolt

Current Set moves like ink caught mid-breath—three decisive gestures that make a wall feel intentional.

The pause after the mark

When the room finds its sentence

Strong, spare, and certain

Rooms collect objects but still read as unfinished. Current Set answers that blank undertone with a single, confident rhythm—sweeping charcoal strokes on crisp white that anchor a view. Hung over a sofa or console, the triptych interrupts safe corners and flat stretches with motion that feels edited, not loud.

Shape that steadies

Design lives in the last decision. Current Set gives shelves, consoles, and tabletops the punctuation they were missing, so the space feels gathered with intent. Its bold curves play well with wood, linen, glass, and calm neutrals, pulling scattered pieces into one thought.

For the curator at home

Someone who wants one striking artwork to finish a room without clutter—measured, modern, and considered.

Where it lands

Center the triptych above a sofa or entry console to create a strong focal plane that ties together surrounding textures and tones.

About the maker

John Beard Collection

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
