I’ve built a lot of coffee tables. Some I was proud of, others… not so much. But a few? They stayed with me. These five tables either surprised me, pushed my creativity, or just plain worked better than I expected. They’re my go-to favorites—and here's why.
1. Sunflower Table — Warm, Bright, and Still a Crowd Favorite
This one felt risky. Real sunflowers sealed under resin can get murky fast if you don’t prep them right. But once I figured out the layering, it turned into one of the warmest, most joyful pieces I’ve built. The gold tones paired with walnut just hit right.

2. Ocean Coastal Table — A Shoreline in Table Form
This design layers seafoam green, deep blue, and sandy beige resin into a coastal flow over lightly weathered wood. It looked like a beach scene frozen in time. The trick was controlling the foam effect—too much and it looks fake, too little and it falls flat.

3. Succulent-Inspired Table — Earthy Meets Modern
I’ve always loved the dusty greens and muted purples of succulents, so I tried bringing that palette into a resin build. The colors were unexpected in a table, but it worked—especially paired with maple wood. Felt earthy, clean, and way more modern than I expected.

4. Seashell & Resin — Coastal, But With Depth
Seashells embedded in resin can feel kitschy—unless you go subtle. I used clear resin with black walnut and let the shells nestle in without overloading it. The result was coastal, textured, and layered. It looked like a tidepool trapped in wood.

5. Exotic Color Table — Bright Pink, but Make It Sophisticated
I’ve experimented with a lot of colors, but this one—bright pink with French oak—caught me off guard. I expected it to be playful, but it turned out high-end. It’s now my go-to when someone wants something that feels bold without being loud.

Why These Designs Still Inspire Me
These weren’t just builds—they were lessons. Some taught me how to layer colors better. Some made me rethink what “natural” can look like. But all of them stuck with me. And when a table sticks with you, that’s usually a good sign.
