These powder pigments are potent, so it won’t take much to see the epoxy change colors. You can control the intensity of the color—affecting its transparency and vividness—by starting with a small amount and gradually mixing in more until you’ve achieved a satisfying result.
Though there is no standard ratio for pigment to epoxy resin, we usually apply a 51g container of mica powder per mixed gallon or start with 1g of mica powder per 8oz if you're new to it.
For best results, do a small test pour if you're unsure how the substrate will affect the color and finish.

- For wood-based pieces like boards and knife handles, apply a food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner every few months to keep the wood rich and prevent drying.
- For resin or metal trays, just wipe clean with a soft cloth—no need to oil.
- Keep all pieces away from direct heat or prolonged moisture exposure.

No, not always. Each piece is handmade from real wood and resin, so the grain, tones, and resin patterns will vary. For most products, the photos show the style you’ll receive — not the exact item. However, if a product is a finished, one-of-a-kind piece, the description above will clearly state “Item pictured is the one you’ll receive.”
How is my order protected?
Your order is protected by our Made Right Guarantee, which ensures your order arrives in perfect condition—free of damage. Natural variations like small nicks or markings in the wood are part of its character, but if anything unexpected happens during shipping, we’ll make it right.
