Room punctuation

The pause that says more

Distinct by design

Rooms collect objects faster than they collect intention. Fathom Original by John Beard, 48x60 cuts through the noise with a sweeping field of whites and charcoals, anchored by a precise strike of red. Its scale and motion give shelves, consoles, and tabletops the single note they’ve been missing. Styling reads deliberate, not busy.

Quiet drama

When one piece leads, the rest of the room relaxes. Fathom guides the eye, frames conversation, and lets everyday materials—wood, linen, glass—feel connected. The space breathes, and the surface feels finished without adding more.

For the collected home

Someone building a calm, modern room that needs one bold artwork to pull it together.

Put it to work

Hang above a sofa or console to ground the seating area and tie mixed finishes into a single story.

About the artist

John Beard Collection story

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
