Color, held still

Holly McWhorter’s Light and Shadow gathers the room around a single, steady target of color—rings that meet in quiet symmetry and shift with the day.

An anchored moment

Circles that call you in

Minimal, not minimal feeling

Rooms stall when walls feel undecided. Light and Shadow — Fine Art Giclée Print by Holly McWhorter gives the eye a place to land: concentric color, clean type, and a grounded vertical format. Three thoughtful sizes make scale a decision, not a compromise. Hang it in an entry or lean it against the baseboard—the space reads considered either way.

What changes in the room

A single graphic statement can steady the whole palette. The circular field invites conversation at the table and focus at the desk. Its coastal clarity reads fresh without noise, so furnishings around it can breathe.

For spaces that host and work

Someone building a finished focal point for a living room, entryway, or calm coastal wall without commissioning custom art.

Put it to work

Choose the 16x20, 24x32, or 28x40 vertical size and place it where natural light moves across the wall to let the colors subtly shift through the day.

About Holly McWhorter

Artist background and vision

Holly McWhorter is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and writer whose abstract paintings and prints probe how color and form interact to evoke feeling. A native of Philadelphia, a longtime New York resident and now based in Copenhagen, she treats creative practice as a way to explore the world and make a positive impact. Primarily self‑taught as an artist, Holly also holds graduate degrees in interior architecture from Parsons and material culture from SUNY, plus a BA in classical music and philosophy from Spelman College. Her work’s thoughtful compositional sense and nuanced palettes translate naturally into interiors—pieces that invite close looking while setting the tone of a room.
