Holly McWhorter’s practice moves between painting, design and writing to investigate how abstract color relationships shape emotion and memory. Born in Philadelphia, formed by long stretches in New York and now living in Copenhagen, she approaches art as a form of inquiry—an attempt to understand place, scale and feeling through layered marks and considered palettes. Primarily self‑taught as a maker, Holly’s formal studies in interior architecture at Parsons, material culture at SUNY and a BA in classical music and philosophy from Spelman College inform a disciplined sense of proportion and narrative. The result is work that reads as both immediate and quietly reflective, suited to settings that value thoughtful visual presence.

Shop the collection for original paintings, art prints, canvas wall art and framed canvas wall art that give walls and everyday rooms a more personal point of view. Move through the selection by subject, palette, orientation and scale to find pieces that set a tone without overwhelming the space—whether you’re grounding a living room, adding calm to a bedroom, or bringing energy to an entry or office. Holly’s abstractions translate across sizes and framing options, offering solutions for residential and curated commercial interiors. Many pieces here are available at Resin Society alongside related framed and canvas formats for layered, gallery-style arrangements.
