Twenty Two painting by John Beard Collection showing an abstract coastal landscape on board

Sun-warmed walls, held close

Late afternoon light collecting on stone, a terracotta jar by the path, mountains resting in the blue distance.

A quiet return

Twenty Two

Brushstrokes of a lived hour

Rooms can feel unfinished when nothing anchors the day’s rhythm.
Twenty Two answers with a scene that slows you down: sun sliding across textured walls, a doorway keeping its own counsel, distant hills breathing under a broken sky.
Its hand-led marks carry the intimacy of a plein air moment, not a print.
The painting meets the eye with calm, then keeps offering more.

Light that lingers

Art changes how a room listens.
The warm shadows and lifted highlights here soften edges between work and rest, making space for conversation or silence.
You start to notice the hour by the way the scene glows.
Home feels more yours when a view like this becomes familiar.

For the collector at home

Someone who wants an original plein air painting with tonal warmth and a sense of travel-worn architecture, to live above a console, mantel, or writing desk.

Where it settles

Hang Twenty Two where natural light passes in the afternoon—entry, dining nook, or study—so the surface catches and shifts through the day.

John Beard – Coastal Memories and Humanitarian Heart

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
