One Hundred and Twelve artwork by John Beard Collection, a 16x20 painting on board depicting coastal landscape tones.

Coastal quiet, held close

Salt light, warm sand, a red-roofed shelter—caught in the quick, generous hand of plein air.

From the easel

One Hundred and Twelve

A moment, still moving

Walls can feel busy with noise yet short on feeling. One Hundred and Twelve brings a small shore into the room—figures wandering the tideline, palms leaning into late sun, brushwork that breathes. It steadies the pace of a hallway or living space without muting it, giving the eye a place to land and linger.

Light that lingers

In the rhythm of a home, small rituals gather around what we choose to see every day. This seaside study softens corners and invites conversation, recalling wind, water, and unplanned afternoons. It reads as memory more than ornament, the kind that settles a room and keeps it human.

For the collector at home

Someone who pairs lived-in furniture with art that carries the warmth of the hand and the hush of real places.

Place and live with it

Hang it where light drifts across in the late afternoon—above a writing desk, near a reading chair, or along a kitchen pass-through—so the shore shifts with the day.

About the Artist

John Beard’s Artistic Journey

Raised in the Florida Keys, John Beard learned to see by the sea: swimming, sailing and building island forts informed a lifelong visual vocabulary. Family painting sessions and artist workshops kindled a practice that now favors coastal moods—abstract and representational treatments of shoreline vistas, towns and village scenes. For 17 years he also lived abroad doing humanitarian work across 35 nations, a chapter that deepened the quiet, human sensibility behind pieces such as Whispers on the Beach. Available as printed and framed canvas wall art, Beard’s work brings twilight tones and shoreline calm to walls and everyday rooms. Collectors choose his canvases when they want art that reads as memory and place rather than mere decoration.
